Pikaba Rating System Explained

by Alexis on 7. November 2008 04:06Categories:

Our community-centric approach ensures that people of common mind and interests are able to quickly find and help each other. And so, we encourage your active participation in Pikaba to make it a better and more productive marketplace.

Every action you take on Pikaba will bring you an extra point to your user rating. Which means you have a chance to become a winner of a Pikaba contest and get your profile featured on the Leaders Page

Here are tips and steps about how to increase your rating

Tip #1

Update your profile. From the minute you registered, you receive your user profile with your personal web address (URL). So start from uploading a picture. Then, write a few lines about yourself (or your business). Put some links. Remember: your profile on Pikaba is like your shopping myspace. Expect people to visit it. So pimp out your profile and make it cool

Tip #2

Buyers. Requests are the heart of your Pikaba experience. So post as many “wanted” or for sale requests as you need. Receive extra rating points for each.

Tip #3

Sellers. You’re here to sell something, right? Don’t be shy and submit your products on Pikaba, including your eBay listings. Each product you submit will bring your more rating points.

Tip #4

Add friends to your Pikaba network and you’ll be able to share your shopping needs or ideas with them. Say, create a poll and they will quickly help you choose. There’re a number of ways you can expand your network. For example, you can send invites to the contacts in your email address book, invite from a social network, find people on Pikaba or just send an email invite. You'll receive the most rating points for this action.

Tip #5

Post comments. There are tons of Pikaba requests, polls, products, blogs available to post comments on. You will have to search for relevant stuff and post your comments.

Tip #6

Create a group. Find out how creating a group can benefit you.

Tip #7

Create a shopping poll so people can help you choose. Learn more about using polls.

Tip #8

Write reviews on sellers’ products and profiles.

Tip #9

Add files to the Media section on your profile. It can be pictures, youtube videos or your product catalogs.

Tip #10

Share your shopping experience, hot products and deals, in your personal blog we’ve created for you on your Pikaba profile. You can even “grab” a product or request using the Blog It feature and rave about the stuff you like on your blog.

I anticipate your question “Where do I find my rating points”? Right on your profile.

As you have noticed, the opportunities are endless! And, eventually, it’s not about the numbers. It’s all about your chances to find what you’re looking for. Again, for those that want to be islands onto themselves...you have lots of classified sites. For those that want to explore, network and execute opportunities, there is Pikaba.
